Madh
Marco Cappai is a young singer-songwriter born in 1993 in Carbonia, Sardinia. He is known by his stage name Madh, meaning "My Advice Doesn't Help".
In 2011 Madh began composing his own songs together with his brother. In 2012 he started self-producing video clips, uploading them on YouTube and on other platforms; he also performed live in different venues in Sardinia.
He rose to fame in 2014 at the eighth season of the Italian edition of “X Factor”, where he finished in second place. His debut single "Sayonara" was performed for the first time during the semi-finals of the competition: also included in the extended play with the same name, the single reached the second spot of the Italian Singles Chart and it was certified platinum.
His love for music has been influenced by Eastern culture and philosophy. Some of his favourite songs are: "Love is a losing game" and "You know I'm no good" (Amy Winehouse), "Redemption song" (Bob Marley), "Ready or not" (Fugees), "Exodus" (MIA).
The Italian entry for the 2015 OGAE Video Contest is “River”, included in Madh's first album “Madhitation”, released on the 10th July 2015 by Sony BMG.
